Bureau to Revisit Small-Dollar Rule

The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection said it expects to issue proposed rules in January 2019 that will reconsider its rule on payday, vehicle title and certain high-cost installment loans. The bureau said it plans to propose revisiting only the ability-to-repay provisions, which have greater consequences for consumers and the industry than the payment provisions.
