Senior Vice President, Congressional Relations and Advocacy
Aaron Stetter is senior vice president of congressional relations and advocacy for the Independent Community Bankers of America®. He advocates the association’s policy positions before members of Congress, financial regulatory agencies and the executive branch.
Stetter has been with ICBA since 2005, having served as ICBA’s vice president of congressional relations and advocacy, director of congressional relations and grassroots outreach and director of state relations. Prior to joining ICBA, Stetter was manager of grassroots programs for the National Restaurant Association, where he managed political outreach campaigns for more than 17,000 politically active restaurateurs.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Stetter earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and political science from the State University New York at Buffalo in 2001 and is currently working toward a master’s degree in Public Management from Johns Hopkins University. He and his wife currently reside in Washington, D.C.
