Action Alert!

Take Action Today on Community Bank Regulatory Relief

Tell Congress To Support CLEAR Relief Act (H.R. 1750/S. 1349)

To the nation’s community bankers,

Community banks across the country are in critical need of relief from an onslaught of regulations. Rules aimed at the abuses of megabanks fail to account for the size, risk profile and business model of our industry. To get Congress to ACT NOW to enact relief from one-size-fits-all regulations, we are asking for a few minutes of your valuable time to participate in our coordinated ICBA Grassroots Blitz on Capitol Hill!

We need every community banker in the nation to urge their members of Congress to cosponsor the CLEAR Relief Act of 2013 (H.R. 1750/S. 1349), which promotes a sensible and sustainable balance of regulations for community banks. These bipartisan bills, inspired by ICBA’s Plan for Prosperity regulatory relief platform, would help achieve the tiered regulation that our nation’s community banks so desperately need.

We ask that you take these three simple steps to stand up for yourself and the thousands of community banks across the country:
  1. Find out whether your senators and representative are already cosponsors of H.R. 1750 or S. 1349.
  2. If not, call and ask them to cosponsor H.R. 1750 or S. 1349.
  3. Send a follow-up message urging them to cosponsor H.R. 1750 and S. 1349.
Tell your members of Congress in your own words how important this is to your bank and your community. We must seize this opportunity to advance this critical issue on Capitol Hill. This is too important for you to sit on the sidelines. Please act TODAY.
