FDIC'S MONEY SMART Wins Service Award

Money Smart, the FDIC's free financial education program, has won a medal for public service. The Partnership for Public Service, a nonprofit group that recognizes excellence in government, honored FDIC staff and the detailed program together for their achievements in business and commerce. The ICBA Is a Money Smart Alliance partner.

Since 2001, Money Smart has assisted banks and nonprofit organizations in teaching more than 100,000 people greater financial independence. It has also helped establish more than 14,000 new mainstream banking relationships. Currently, English, Spanish, Chinese and Korean editions are available. A Vietnamese version is scheduled for release soon.
