ICBA Names Industry Veteran to Head New Rocky Mountain Central Plains Office

Washington, D.C. (Jan. 25, 2005) - The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) today named Scott Hall, a financial services industry veteran, regional director of ICBA's new Rocky Mountain Central Plains office in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Hall brings more than 15 years of financial services experience to his role as a calling officer in Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska for the ICBA. Prior to joining ICBA, Hall served for 10 years with ICBA Mortgage as business development officer for the Mortgage Program. As a former Colorado community banker, Hall is acutely aware of the needs of community banks in the area. "Scott's deep knowledge and understanding of the mortgage business as well as his familiarity with the other product and services offerings will be a great asset to the members and non members in his territory," said Paul McGuire, ICBA senior vice president of state/regional operations and membership strategy.

"Scott is known and respected in his territory," McGuire said. "He has extensive experience in financial services sales and knows many of the community banks throughout the region. Scott is well-positioned as a consultative resource for community bankers on their business challenges and the specific solutions offered by ICBA."

Communicating the political and economic aggregating power ICBA provides, Hall will help community bank executives from current and eligible member institutions better understand the diverse value of their industry's national trade association. He has considerable knowledge of the many, growing product and service offerings that ICBA offers, and will help community bankers discover more about the many advocacy, educational, marketing and information resources available with ICBA.

"Scott is a great fit for his new role in serving ICBA members and non-members," said Cam Fine, ICBA's president and CEO. "He knows the issues community bankers are facing, and he stays on top of the industry's newest trends, products and best practices. I would encourage any community banker in the region to give him a call and get to know him."

ICBA now has offices in six regions of the country, Newport Beach, Calif., Boston, Mass., Des Moines, Iowa, Atlanta, Ga., and Harrisburg, Pa., serving member and non-member needs.
