ICBA Names Industry Veteran to Head New Southwest Regional Office

Washington, D.C. (August 2, 2005) - The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) today announced that Chip Lynch was named to oversee ICBA's new Southwest Regional Office in Dallas, TX.

As Southwest regional director, Lynch brings more than 15 years of financial services experience to his role. He most recently served as marketing and membership manager and senior lending officer at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas.

"Chip is uniquely qualified for this position," said Paul McGuire, ICBA senior vice president, membership and state relations. "Chip has been helping bankers solve problems, identify solutions, and meet the challenges of banking consumers for years."

Communicating and showcasing the significant political and economic buying power that comes with ICBA membership, Lynch will help community bank executives from current and eligible member institutions better understand and take advantage of the value of membership in ICBA. Lynch's Southwest territory covers Texas and Oklahoma. The new Southwest office is the seventh regional office ICBA has opened to better meet the needs of members and non-members. The other offices are located in Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Colorado Springs, CO; Des Moines, IA; Harrisburg, PA; and Newport Beach, CA.
