ICBA Chooses EtherTel Networks as the Newest Preferred Service Provider
Helps Community Banks Reduce Telecommunications Expense
Washington, D.C. (Oct. 5, 2012)—The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) announced today that it has selected EtherTel Networks as a Preferred Service Provider (PSP). EtherTel Networks is an independent telecommunications consulting firm providing telecom procurement and management services to more than 400 clients nationally, including community banks with multiple branches. This new member benefit provides telecommunication services solutions that enable ICBA member banks to reduce and better manage their telecommunication expense overhead.
“As an ICBA Preferred Service Provider, EtherTel, at no risk or upfront cost, will analyze the bank’s telecom usage and requirements, then identify the carriers best able to cost-effectively meet those needs,” said Dan Clancy, ICBA executive vice president of services. “This program can help most community banks lower their business overhead by securing the lowest telecommunications prices available for the same or better telecom services.”
Community banks are consistently identifying safe and effective ways to reduce expenses, seeking much needed revenues and every bank uses phone, internet and mobility services to conduct business on a daily basis. EtherTel’s Telecom Expense Reduction Solutions program brokers the carriers that provide those services and identify opportunities to reduce costs with telecommunications providers, and identify ways to increase the speed of carrier-provided voice, internet, and mobility services. Over the past two years, EtherTel clients have averaged a 27 percent annual reduction in their overall telecom cost.
“EtherTel’s consulting team forces multiple carriers in the bank’s local markets to compete for the bank’s business,” said EtherTel’s President Wes Spining. “We understand the unique needs of banks operating a single branch or serving an entire region through multiple branches because we have worked extensively with these financial institutions. As an independent telecom consultant with over 70 carrier relationships nationally, we represent the bank, never the carriers. We negotiate contractual terms and conditions that meet each bank’s and each branch’s needs at the lowest guaranteed cost.”
“We’ve dealt with Wes Spining and EtherTel for almost seven years, and they have effectively reduced our telecom spending as well as managed our needs with carriers he’s recommended. There is no better way for a bank to shop the best telecom carrier solutions than through EtherTel,” said James Kuntz, senior vice president of the Tennessee Bank & Trust in Nashville, Tenn.
