ICBA Extends Preferred Service Provider Relationship with Main Street Checks
Washington, D.C. (Feb. 8, 2013)—The Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA) today announced that it has extended its agreement with Birmingham, Ala.-based Main Street Checks Inc. (MSC) as an ICBA Preferred Service Provider. The new agreement will allow ICBA community bank members to continue receiving exclusive discounts on Main Street Checks’ check printing and check-related products.
“ICBA is pleased to continue our relationship with Main Street Checks, which offers check services specifically designed for community banks,” said Dan Clancy, ICBA executive vice president of services. “The Preferred Service Provider program with Main Street Checks is a benefit to ICBA-member community banks that are looking for variety, quick turnaround, competitive pricing and outstanding customer service.”
Main Street Checks has been an ICBA Preferred Service Provider since 2005. Since then, Main Street Checks has provided check printing and related services to more than 1,000 ICBA community bank members, including Hope Johnson, a member of the ICBA Bank Services Committee and CEO and chairman of Friend Bank in Slocomb, Ala. “Main Street Checks has enabled Friend Bank to make checking services a reliable and consistent offering for our customers,” said Johnson. “We are delighted to quickly provide our customers with high-quality checks that serve as a cornerstone of a banking relationship.”
“Our special arrangement with ICBA comes out of our deep dedication to the community bank market. We’re proud to be seen as the leading authority on turning a passive checking program into a bank’s greatest asset,” said Doug Deeter, Main Street Checks president. “Our customers put their confidence in us because we share so many of the same values as community banks. And they trust us because we know each and every customer and always give them a three-tier royalty treatment that is found nowhere else.”
Deeter also said that Main Street Checks will provide new products and services that will help community banks keep up with the ever-changing demands of the industry. “Our customers benefit greatly by our easy-to-use online ordering system, and banks find that it’s the customized programs from the Main Street Checks team that makes a bottom-line difference,” he said.
