Montana Independent Bankers Association Endorses ICBA Bancard’s EFT Program

Washington, D.C. (January 18, 2011)-ICBA Bancard, the payment services subsidiary of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), today announced its new affiliation with the Montana Independent Bankers Association (MIB), the state community bank organization headquartered in Helena, Mont. The agreement will make available the preferred debit card solutions of ICBA Bancard to over 70 community banks in the state of Montana.

"This is a great development for Montana's community banks," said Ron Rosenberg, president of Valley Bank of Kalispell, Mont. "Montana bankers gain access to a wide array of vital debit operations from an organization that consistently and effectively promotes community banking interests."

The new affiliation will bring Montana Independent Bankers Association member banks into a national network of community banks that rely on ICBA Bancard for comprehensive card management tools ranging from card issuance to turnkey operational support, including the exclusive ICBA Bancard Fraud Loss Protection program.

"ICBA Bancard has the tools and expertise to help issuers maximize returns, mitigate risks and ensure their program's long-term viability," said Linda Echard, president of ICBA Bancard.  "We are very excited about potential growth opportunities under this partnership for Montana bankers."

Card issuers collectively saved over $1.79 million in confirmed fraudulent transactions in 2010.
