FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Joseph Schneider Joins ICBA as Director of State Relations

Washington, D.C. (September 17, 2009)—The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) today announced that Joseph Schneider joined the association as director of state relations. Schneider will serve as the primary liaison between ICBA and its network of 44 affiliated state and regional partner associations.

“Joe’s extensive experience in affiliated state association member services will serve ICBA well as we continue to nurture and grow our relationships with ICBA’s state and regional partners throughout the country,” said Mark Raitor, ICBA executive vice president and chief operating officer. “As director of state relations, Joe’s work with ICBA’s affiliated associations will directly benefit member banks nationwide as we work in tandem on issues critical to community banks.”

A graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, Schneider previously served as the director of associate member services for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), where he was responsible for developing and maintaining programs and services for the organization’s state affiliated associations. He also worked for the Autism Society of America as its director of membership and chapter services.
