ICBA Unveils New Look for Independent Banker

Updated design features new slogan, “The Sprit of Entrepreneurial Banking in America”

Washington, D.C. (January 7, 2009)— The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) today unveiled the new design for ICBA Independent Banker magazine, the award-winning monthly publication that is the nation’s number one source for community banking news. The new ICBA IB includes fresh editorial features, a new design style and a new slogan, “The Spirit of Entrepreneurial Banking in America.”

“ICBA IB has been revamped to reflect the dynamic nature and spirit of the nation’s community banks,” said Karen Tyson, ICBA senior vice president of communications. “The magazine was designed with busy business executives in mind with an eye toward helping readers absorb ideas and information at a glance.”

While popular columns and departments such as Tech Talk, Lender Life, Payments Exchange, Portfolio Management and Washington Watch will continue to be featured in ICBA IB, new features include:

  • Opportunity Knocks—problem-solving case studies of community banks
  • Vantage Point—insights from industry experts
  • Indie Banker—grass-roots relationship banking at its best
  • The Vault—professional and lifestyle ideas for busy, successful community bankers
  • Bank Notes—insights and feedback from readers
