ICBA Bancard Holds 18th Conference and Expo

Washington, D.C. (November 9, 2007) — The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) and ICBA Bancard kicked off the 18th ICBA Bancard Conference and Expo, “Building Value, Achieving Results,” in St. Petersburg, Fla., Nov. 11-13.

“ICBA Bancard offers a unique credit card and payments program that now encompasses more than 2,000 community banks nationwide,” said Charles L. Saeman, ICBA Bancard chairman and president and CEO of State Bank of Cross Plains, Wis., who will be speaking to the gathering of community bankers. “A credit crunch like we’re seeing now is exactly why the nation needs the community banking industry—to ensure that credit remains consistently and widely available. Community bank sponsored credit cards are one component of ensuring a diversified supply of credit to consumers.”

This year’s conference and expo features a number of industry leaders speaking on credit card trends that are affecting community bank business, an exposition of on-site credit card portfolio analysis and advice from ICBA Bancard, Fidelity National Information Services (FIS), Visa, MasterCard, as well as fraud prevention specialists demonstrating the latest advancements.

In addition, ICBA Bancard is introducing its new Automated Card Expert (ACE) portfolio assessment tool that will allow community bank credit card issuers to analyze the health of their credit card portfolio. “Our ACE tool is unique to ICBA Bancard,” said Linda Echard, ICBA Bancard president. “This new tool looks at peer data and offers management reporting and graphing that will enable community banks to more easily manage their card portfolios.”

National preferred service providers Billeo, Didier Printing, Fidelity National Information Services, MasterCard and Visa will also be available.
