ICBA Holds Emerging Leaders Forum for Community Bankers

Washington, D.C. (May 18, 2007)—The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) will hold its first Emerging Leaders Forum, Sunday, May 20, and Monday, May 21at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, Orlando, Fla.

"ICBA's Emerging Leaders Forum delivers one of the most comprehensive programs on community banking strategies and solutions available," said Greg Martinson, ICBA senior vice president and director of education. "Community bankers will hear from community banking industry experts who will give them holistic view of our industry today and what the future might hold. It's hugely important for community bankers to develop tomorrow's leaders today."

Among the sessions community bank participants can attend are: Credit Quality…Bank Quality; The Changing Customer: What it Means to the Economy and to Your Bank; Leadership in an Environment of Risk Management; Financial Product Innovation: Cycles and Opportunities; Regulatory Attitudes from CAMELS to SOX; Debit Card Lessons & Opportunities; and Brand Strategy and the Development of Social Capital.

Community bank leaders will participate in roundtable discussions and benefit from seminars led by nationally recognized industry leaders and ICBA legislative, regulatory and economic experts. Among the highlights of the 12 roundtable discussions and seminars include:

  • Legislation, Regulation & Association: The Role of Leadership

  • An Outlook on Washington and the Economy

  • The Future of Community Banking

Participants receive continuing education credit for their work at the Emerging Leaders Forum.
