ICBA Names Marx as Great Lakes Regional Director

Midwest Financial Services Banker Serves Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Wisconsin

Washington, D.C. (May 14, 2007)—The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) announced that Michael "Mike" A. Marx has joined ICBA as a regional director.

"We are pleased to have Mike bring his extensive banking experience to a role that is key to ICBA building and maintaining relationships with community bankers," said Paul McGuire, ICBA senior vice president and director of national sales. "Mike has been helping bankers solve problems, identify solutions and meet challenges for many years."

Marx's Great Lakes territory of Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Kentucky is home to approximately 850 community banks. The Great Lakes office, ICBA's seventh regional office, will help the association continue to meet the needs of the area's community banks. Marx is based in Appleton, Wis. In addition to its headquarters in Washington, D.C., ICBA has an office in Sauk Centre, Minn., and regional offices in Atlanta, Ga.; Boston, Mass.; Dallas, Tex.; Des Moines, Iowa; Harrisburg, Pa.; Memphis, Tenn., Newport Beach, Calif. and Tampa, Fla.

Prior to joining ICBA, Marx worked for a large Midwestern regional bank and has worked extensively in sales of banking products to community banks.
