FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ICBA Hires Brown as Human Resources Director

Washington, D.C. (June 6, 2006)—The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) announced that Scott Brown has joined ICBA as vice president, human resources.

“I am delighted to have Scott on board,” said Camden R. Fine, ICBA president and CEO. “Scott is an important new addition to our outstanding team of professionals. He will play an important role in helping ICBA continue to attract and retain talented and skilled people to deliver the highest quality services to our community bank members.”

Brown will manage the human resources function for ICBA’s network of offices. The association has offices throughout the United States, including headquarters in Washington, D.C., Sauk Centre, Minn., and Newport Beach, Calif., which enable the association to deliver personal service to its members.

Brown brings 13 years of professional experience in association human resources management to ICBA. He served as manager of human resources with NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science from 1993 – 1998. For the past six years, Brown served as director of the human resources and administration division at the National Association of Federal Credit Unions.

Brown received his bachelor of arts from the University of Virginia and his master of science in organization development from American University. In November, 2004, he earned his certification as a senior professional in human resources from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
