ICBA Celebrates the 10th Anniversary of Preferred Service Provider MoneyPass

Washington, D.C. (Nov. 7, 2013)—The Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA) today joined in the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the MoneyPass® surcharge-free ATM network. MoneyPass, an ICBA Preferred Service Provider, offers member community banks access to one of the fastest-growing surcharge-free ATM networks in the country, along with point-of-sale services.

“ICBA is pleased to celebrate this milestone, which has led to a robust network of surcharge-free ATMs that benefit so many community bank customers nationwide,” said Dan Clancy, ICBA executive vice president of services. “This valuable program helps community banks differentiate themselves from other financial institutions through local knowledge and the convenience of a nationwide ATM network for their customers.”

MoneyPass was launched in 2003 with ATMs and cardholders located primarily in Tennessee, Arkansas and Georgia. MoneyPass quickly grew its footprint to include other states in that region.  Additional agreements with other networks spurred further growth through the Midwest, leading to the current footprint of more than 23,000 surcharge-free ATMs distributed throughout the nation.  MoneyPass ATMs are found in a variety of convenient locations both at bank branches and popular retail centers.

Through participation in MoneyPass, community banks offer their customers an affordable option for accessing their funds anywhere in the country. Additionally, ICBA-member banks also receive preferred pricing as a result of the Preferred Service Provider relationship.

“The MoneyPass Network is proud to offer ICBA members what our 10-year history provides us: experience, flexibility and growth.  And we are thankful for the many ICBA community banks that have chosen to participate in MoneyPass and contribute to our success,” said Douglas Miraglia, president of the MoneyPass Network.  “The ATM industry has changed a great deal in the past 10 years.  Read the full MoneyPass history on www.moneypass.com to find out how MoneyPass has met the needs of community banks for the past decade and to learn how MoneyPass is looking to the future.”
