ICBA Bancard Promotes Nevels to Senior Vice President

Alan NevelsWashington, D.C. (November 22, 2005) -- ICBA Bancard, the electronic payments services subsidiary of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), announces the promotion of Alan Nevels to senior vice president of operations and card risk. In this new position, he will focus on ICBA Bancard’s risk management and credit card fraud loss monitoring initiatives.

"Alan is uniquely qualified for this position", said ICBA Bancard President and CEO Linda Echard. "For the past decade, he has played an intrinsic role in the development of Bancard’s industry-exclusive Fraud Loss Protection Plan, a tool that is now indispensable for community bank credit card issuers."

In addition, Nevels served on Visa USA’s Identity Theft Working Group and helped formulate security standards as part of Visa’s Advanced Authorization Program.

Nevels also directs ICBA Bancard’s Client Support Department, which monitors the security and product satisfaction of over 2,000 community banks. He is a graduate of Howard University and holds a bachelor’s of science degree in communications and public relations.
