ICBA to Offer Free Education to All Members
Community banks will receive 50 free online compliance courses as part of ICBA membership
Washington, D.C. (March 28, 2013)—The Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA) announced today that beginning April 1, any ICBA member bank will have unlimited access to 50 online compliance training courses through Sept. 30 for no cost as part of their ICBA membership. These courses are some of the most in-demand compliance training classes offered.
“ICBA has never offered this type of access to education courses in the past, but our members asked for it and we responded,” ICBA Chairman Bill Loving, president and CEO of Pendleton Community Bank in Franklin, W.Va., said. “Each course is about an hour long and will help fulfill bank employees’ continuing education requirements. This is not only a phenomenal, one-of-a-kind membership benefit, but also a great career-development tool and resource to help community banks across the country stay current on compliance issues.”
Bank administrators will be able to download a report listing the classes their employees have taken and passed, which will verify the employees’ continuing education for examination and record keeping.
The curriculum for each of the 50 compliance courses has been written within the past 12 months and will be amended as required in the future. Members will also be able to continue their unlimited access for an additional 12 months after Sept. 30 for only $99.
