FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ICBA Promotes Joe Schneider to Vice President of State Relations

Washington, D.C. (April 4, 2012)—The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) today announced the promotion of Joseph Schneider, director of state relations, to vice president of state relations.  In his new role, Schneider, who has been with the association since 2009, will continue to serve as the primary liaison between ICBA and its network of 46 affiliated state and regional partner associations.

“Always enthusiastic about ICBA’s mission, Joe understands and believes that partnerships with our affiliated state and regional associations serve a critical role in ICBA’s long-term strategic success,” said Terry Jorde, ICBA senior executive vice president and chief of staff. “Joe’s promotion to vice president of state relations is a direct reflection of his dedication and ability to grow and foster these critical partnerships.  We congratulate Joe on his well-deserved promotion and the contributions he has made to ICBA and community banks across the country.”

In addition to serving as the primary ICBA liaison between ICBA and its affiliated state and regional partner associations, Schneider will take a lead role in directly working with them to develop strategies and action plans to further promote strong and independent affiliates for the future.

A graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, Schneider previously served as the director of associate member services for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), where he was responsible for developing and maintaining programs and services for the organization’s associate members. He also worked for the Autism Society of America as its director of membership and chapter services.
