Community Banker University Offers Expanded Access to Its Online Education Catalogue

San Antonio (March 15, 2017)—The Independent Community Bankers of America’s® (ICBA) Community Banker University today announced expanded access to its full library of online educational offerings that changes the way community bankers access and master knowledge and stay in step with today’s challenging banking environment.

Under three new subscription-based models, community banks can access more than 300 courses in eight tracks and receive recommended coursework by job function. The new plan structure also allows electing subscribers to upload bank policies for greater customization and obtain customized reports to validate completed training for examiners.

“As community banks grow in scope and complexity, staying up to date with the latest training and regulatory requirements will become necessary for success,” explained Lindsay LaNore, group executive vice president, Community Banker University. “We’ve taken the guesswork out of self-directed learning and made it easier to track employee engagement and progress by integrating our best-in-class training with the bank’s existing policies and procedures.”

Under the licensing agreements bank employees can access ICBA’s Online Education Center with topics on compliance, security, management, information technology, customer service and sales, teller training, human resources, and health and safety. All subscription models offer email notification for select compliance courses, and access to usage and enrollment reports.

“The subscription-based model helps us manage our training costs, stay current with required regulations, and offers employees the flexibility to learn at their own pace from the comfort of their desk. It’s a win-win-win,” said Lauren Henson, senior vice president at $1.65 billion-asset CresCom Bank in Charleston, S.C.

In addition to the current Standard Plan, the three new tailored options include:

  • Custom Plan—standard plan benefits, plus the ability to upload bank policies and procedures into pre-selected compliance courses.
  • Premium Plan—standard and custom benefits plan plus the ability to create custom courses with bank designed exams and custom enrollment reports.
  • Cloud Delivery Plan—custom plan benefits, but with the ability to incorporate the full library curriculum into the bank’s existing learning management system.
