  • ICBA Thanks Senators for Support of Expanded Exemptions

    ICBA thanked Sens. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) and Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) for introducing the Home Mortgage Disclosure Adjustment Act (S. 1310), which would exempt low volume community bank mortgage lenders from expansive and burdensome new mortgage application data collection and reporting requirements.

    The House passed Rep. Keith Rothfus’s resolution (H.J. Res. 111) to block the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s final rule restricting the use of the consumer arbitration rule by a 231-190 vote.
