David Hibbs graduated with an accounting degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa in 1981. He began his career working in public accounting with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co in Des Moines, Iowa. He spent five years with Sentry Insurance in Stevens Point, Wisconsin where he served as a senior internal auditor and manager of reinsurance accounting. He also worked at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines for thirteen years serving in a number of different positions, including director of internal audit and regional vice president/correspondent banking. David joined ICBA in 2002 as Vice President, Midwest Regional Office.
