Seminar: Community Bank Buying and Selling07/31/2013 - 08/01/2013 Mackinac Island, MI A new merger and acquisition environment is upon us. More financial institutions are looking to be buyers or sellers in the traditional sense, but there are scores of new techniques and issues compared to the last acquisition wave. This new workshop will focus on the changed regulatory environment as well as changed pricing and new techniques for buyers and sellers. It will also discuss the basic mechanics of transactions and pricing and the traditional steps to take to position your bank to be a buyer or seller. This program is intended to be a hands-on workshop that looks at actual acquisition agreements, outlines steps for boards of directors to take to exercise fiduciary duties and covers financial, accounting and tax issues. Likewise, this session will provide one-on-one private consultation opportunities to discuss your unique needs and concerns with the professionals.
