Audio Conf: Community Bank Capital & Ownership Issues

05/31/2012 - 05/31/2012

Telephone Seminar

Time: 11:00 am Eastern | 10:00 am Central | 9:00 am Mountain | 8:00 am Pacific

Length: 60 Minutes

The community banking environment is improving and will present your bank with a number of opportunities in the near term. Now is the time to consider your bank's capital and ownership structure so you are prepared to take advantage of what is to come. Community Bank Capital and Ownership Issues in the Current Environment will contain a detailed discussion of the current capital raising environment and several capital and ownership planning issues that your board should consider. The presentation will contain an in-depth discussion of:

  • Community bank capital raising techniques in the current environment, including the sale of stock and leveraging debt through your bank holding company (whether to prepare for future growth or to "refill the coffers" after a tough couple years)
  • The benefits to your bank and shareholders of reorganizing as a Subchapter S corporation
  • The benefits of suspending SEC reporting by "going private"
  • Managing and rearranging your shareholder base
  • Other important issues regarding capital and ownership planning

Tomorrow's opportunities will not be open to your bank if your board does not begin planning to take advantage of them today. This presentation will start you off in the right direction by identifying the issues your board should consider to position itself to be ready.
