The Honorable Jim McCrery
House of Representatives
2104 Rayburn HOB
Washington, DC 20515-1804

Dear Mr. Chairman:

On behalf of myself and the 5,000 members of the Independent Community Bankers of America, thank you so much for your help in including much-needed S corporation reforms in the "American Jobs Creation Act," (H.R. 2896). We were pleased to see this important legislation pass the Ways and Means Committee. Chairman Thomas' bill will be extremely helpful to Louisiana's small businesses and especially small manufacturers who rely heavily on available local lending to start, run, and grow their businesses and create jobs.

The ICBA is urging all House members to ensure beneficial Subchapter S reforms now in H.R. 2896 are part of any final "ETI-fix" legislation passed. We appreciate your continued help to preserving the S corporation reforms as H.R. 2896 is considered in the full House and during the final House-Senate Conference.

Thank you again Mr. Chairman for your fine work. The ICBA stands ready to help you in any way we can to help enact H.R. 2896 with important S corporation reforms.

Sincerely,

C.R. Cloutier
President & CEO
MidSouth Bank, Lafayette, Louisiana
