SEC Chairman on Hill Following Hack
Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Jay Clayton is scheduled to appear before the Senate Banking Committee at 10 a.m. (Eastern time) tomorrow. The hearing on SEC oversight comes after the agency announced last week that its system for storing information filed by publicly traded companies was hacked last year.
Next week, the committee is scheduled to hear directly from the chief executives of Wells Fargo and Equifax on their companies’ ongoing financial scandals.
