Paul Merski

Executive Vice President, Congressional Relations & Chief Economist

Paul Merski is executive vice president for congressional relations and chief economist for ICBA. Before joining ICBA, Merski served as the chief economist of the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress and tax and banking policy advisor to Sen. Connie Mack (R-Fla.). He also served as director of fiscal policy for Citizens for a Sound Economy, as director of fiscal affairs for the Tax Foundation and as an economist with the Commerce Department Bureau of Economic Analysis during the Reagan administration.
