Part Three of a four-part audio conference series designed specifically for community bankers.
Criticism of expense items and expense practices is a hot button regulatory item that is quietly gaining steam. The standard for expense items, approval and documentation has changed, and the "this is the way we have always done it" response will not save your bank from severe consequences. Those consequences can range from exam criticism to reimbursement from the party that incurred the expense item, civil money penalties, and in drastic situations removal and prohibition of involved persons from banking. This session will explain how to properly evaluate and correct your institution's expense policies and avoid being the unknowing recipient of criticism or penalties.
